A Formal Affair

Ladies, it’s that time of the year again! The time to get dressed in your best. The time to get all dolled up. You guessed it…. It’s formal season! (It’s also wedding season, so if you are not in a sorority, don’t fret!! This post can still apply to you!)

I’m always at ends with formals. I absolutely love looking for a dress, but finding the perfect dress can be SO stressful (on myself and my budget). So I’m here to help you find a few dresses that will make you look and feel beautiful, while not totally draining your bank account.

Now with sorority formals, girls usually wear long dresses. And I love long dresses, I really do, but don’t be afraid to be a little bit different and go with a shorter dress like this incredible dress from Revolve I’ve been eyeing for a few weeks. It’s on sale now, so it might pop up in my closet in a few days. (P.S. – They also have this dress in black!)

I also love these two short dresses below from the same website.

And you can't go wrong with a long dress! I wore this dress to my boyfriend's formal last year in a blue patterned print and it was a total hit.

I got my dress last week and I am totally obsessed with it! I purchased mine from my favorite boutique here in Wilmington called Bevello. Sidenote: They just opened a store in Charleston, SC, so if you're in the area, go check them out!

I won't be unveiling my dress until after my sorority formal, so stay tuned for that post at the end of the month.

Stay classy friends!

Hoppy Easter!

I have always loved Easter for many reasons. Of course it is a day to remember the resurrection of our Savior. It is nice to reflect on such a glorious event. It is also the one day that you can get away with wearing all of your bright pastel clothing and not feel too self conscious (not saying that you should feel self conscious... I wear pastel colors just about every day of spring/summer). Sure, black is slimming, but pastels allow you to live colorfully. And who wouldn't want to do that?! So ladies (and gents), break out the Lilly Pulitzer prints and such and have a wonderful Easter!

Oh, and leave me a comment! I love comments!
