Fall Staples

1. Blanket Scarf - Everyone needs a good blanket scarf. They're seriously so warm and they pair well with a lot - you can style them so many different ways! When my sister moved away, she took her blanket scarf with her... so it looks like it's time for me to venture out and buy my own! I've linked one of the most popular styles, but I'm also obsessed with this one. I'm a huge navy and pink fan!

2. Frye Boots - I know, I know... these boots are expensive. But y'all, trust me. They're completely worth it. They will last a lifetime (if you take proper care of them) and in all honesty, I don't think they'll ever go out of style. You can't go wrong with a classic. I've linked the same boot that I have. I absolutely love mine - if you're thinking about purchasing them, definitely try on a pair before you buy. I had to size down half of a size. But seriously, these boots are my life. It's so hard to find  good boot that fits my skinny calf and these are perfect.

3. Anorack Jacket - I wear my anorack jacket way too much in the fall, but I'm a huge stripe fan, and this jacket pairs so well with stripes! This jacket is so easy to throw on and go - it looks great with jeans or dresses! And the olive green color just screams fall. If you don't have one of these in your closet, I highly recommend grabbing one as the weather starts getting cooler.

4. Suede Skirt - I am loooooving this trend! It feels so 70's to me - but you know what they say, what goes around comes back around and that totally applies to style. I've linked a suede skirt that will probably be showing up in my closet in the very near future. I'm obsessed with the laser cut design around the bottom. Many of you have probably seen the front button suede skirts everywhere, I've linked one of those here as well!

5. Sweaters - Of course you need sweaters this fall! Honestly I believe in wearing sweaters all year round. Lazy day? Sweater. Rainy day? Sweater. Middle of summer? Sweater. Anyways... I've linked a great sweater from Free People that I've been totally crushing on. They make quality clothes - totally well worth the price!

Fall is hands down my favorite season. I love the simplicity of fall fashion - it makes getting dressed in the morning so much easier! What are your fall must-haves?

Stay classy, friends.

Sweater {Dress} Weather

Free People Sweater Dress | Forever21 Booties (Similar) | Necklace (Similar)

Y'all... it's 82 degrees today. EIGHT TWO DEGREES. But this sweater dress isn't too heavy, so it's totally fine. And who doesn't love a dress and booties combo? It's so simple - I could literally throw it on and run errands all day. I've seen a lot of sweater dresses with no shape lately, so when I saw this one on the rack, I was all for it! The crossover detail on the front bodice and back of the dress, as well as the flare skirt, really make this dress stand out from all of the rest! I can't wait until it gets a bit colder and I can throw my anorak jacket over it, or pair it with black sheer tights and black booties. Ugh, this dress is just so versatile I love it! Buy back to this weather - why can't the heat just let up? It's been raining for the past few days, so I was hoping that would bring in a cold front. I'm literally counting down the days until I'm in the mountains because I know I'll definitely get to wear my sweaters and boots then! Until then, I'll just have to pretend it's colder by turning down the air in my office - hopefully my coworkers don't mind too much ;)

Boho Fringe

Black Swan Fringe Tank | Dark Wash Jeans (Similar) | Booties (Similar) | Ray-Ban Sunnies |
Michael Kors Crossbody (Similar)

This is the perfect fall transition outfit. Here in Wilmington, it doesn't really start cooling off until mid-November. So tanks and jeans are a go-to for me right now. If the weather were cooler, a chunky cardigan would go great with this outfit! Especially a maroon or forest green cardigan. Let's talk about this tank though... I'm in love. The moment I first laid eyes on it, I knew we were going to be great friends. It says 'business' in the front and 'party' in the back. (Yes it did cross my mind that comparing this tank to a mullet probably wouldn't get many people to buy it - but I went for it, okay?) Either way, this tank is killer. Booties are also a must-have for the fall. And, again, they're the perfect transition shoe from summer to fall! These booties were purchased from Forever21 last year, but I've linked a similar one about. If you're looking for a similar, cheaper option, you can always try Marshall's or TJ Maxx - they always have the best shoes! My bag is also a bit older, but it's my absolute favorite. Tassles are still in (and will always be in my opinion), so I feel no shame still using this bag. Plus, it's adorable and it was expensive, so I might as well get as much use out of it as possible!

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall

I can't believe that today is the first day of Fall... mostly because it's still so hot here in Wilmington! But that's what you get when you live on the East Coast. To commemorate this wonderful day, I wanted to recap my Summer for you all.

This Summer has definitely been one to remember. I graduated, accepted a job right after graduation, moved into a new house, and got a huge slap of reality when I could no longer spend my weekdays laying on the beach. I definitely had my fair share of mental breakdowns and might still have a few every once in a while, but I'm learning how to do big girl things like budget my money, pay bills, work 8-5, and y'all... I even bought myself a car!

I have many memories from this Summer, but a few really stuck out to me. I spent most days with my handsome boyfriend, Turner, because sadly, most of my friends moved away after graduation. But he's a fun guy, so I didn't mind it! We spent many days on his boat, saw his favorite band in concert, I taught him how to beat me at a few games of tennis, and he taught me how to reel in the big fish. I'm so thankful that he's here and that he actually likes to hang out with me ;) I also loved spending a few days with my family at Topsail Beach during our annual beach trip. I don't know how I was so lucky to be blessed with such a fun family! My twin sister got engaged right before graduation, so I was able to help her find the perfect wedding dress. She gets married in March and I literally cannot wait to showcase the wedding on my blog! She also moved to Raleigh, so it's definitely taken some time getting used to not living with her. I mean we lived together for 22 years! I may or may not call her every single day. But at least she gets to see my younger sister, Katie, all the time now that she's back in school at UNC. And when I go to Raleigh to visit, it's always a fun time having all 3 of us back together.

As the Summer leaves and the Fall season begins, I can't help but be excited for the many memories that will be made. Turner and I will be celebrating our two year anniversary in the mountains, relaxing, hiking, and maybe even trying my hand at fly fishing. Of course, I'm also excited for Fall fashion, pumpkin patches, Halloween, and continuing to purchase Pumpkin Spice everything. Let's be real, y'all... Fall is the best season. Here's to hoping it comes with some of the best memories.

Stay classy, friends!

Fall Florals

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a pretty laid back weekend. I've been so excited to debut this dress! Y'all... this dress is everything. I saw it on the mannequin in the window at Bevello (of course) and I knew that I had to make it mine. I didn't buy it when I first saw it, but I didn't stop talking about how obsessed I was with it for days - so I finally went back and bought it. And it's one of the best decisions I've EVER made. I tried it on with a pair of Sam Edelman pumps in the store and I think that really sealed the deal. Too bad I didn't have enough money to purchase the shoes too! OH WELL. This dress is a little bit on the shorter side, so if you're taller than 5'6, I'm not sure it would be the right purchase for you. Although, you could totally rock it over some leggings and boots when the weather gets colder! I also feel like it's the perfect transition piece from Summer to Fall... especially if you live near the coast like me. It was in the 80's still today. Will the colder weather ever come?! Oh, I'm also loving this dainty little necklace - I seriously wear it everywhere!

Stay classy, friends!

Labor Day Lilly

I grew up with a grandmother that preached the southern rule "no white after Labor Day." And I've always been a full fledged supporter of that rule... until I moved to Wilmington. Being a beach town, it's not unlikely to see people wearing white after Labor Day. And although I was a little bit hesitant to throw on my white jeans mid-September, it didn't feel as awful as I thought it would. Also, let's talk about this shirt. I've had my eye on this shirt since it first hit the Lilly website. And when I saw it in my size during the sale, I might've shed a tear or two from happiness. I love a good Elsa top, especially at a discounted price! I also wanted to touch on this ring I'm wearing. I tried it on at the Bevello in Cameron Village and I instantly knew that it was meant to be. I left without buying it, then went back 20 minutes later to purchase it. I just couldn't get it off of my mind! Now I wear it almost every day. It's the perfect pop of color for any outfit.

I hope you're all enjoying your long Labor Day weekend and taking advantage of all the sales!
Stay classy, friends.

Shades of Grey

Blazer (similar) |  Scalloped Tank (similar) | NecklaceEarrings | Wedges

It's September, which means the days of shorts are almost over. But hey, that's totally fine - Fall is my fav anyways! So I snagged this adorable blazer over the weekend and I'm slightly obsessed with it. I MIGHT have worn it to work twice this week. And you'll never believe how cheap it was. Unfortunately the blazer is not online, but head over to your closest Forever21 store and you might find one. I paired the blazer with my favorite scalloped tank and voilĂ ... business casual! Also, if you love my accessories, House of Harlow is having a 20% off sitewide Labor Day sale until Monday night at midnight. Just use the code 'LABORDAY20' at checkout!

Happy shopping, friends!
