Currently Loving

I know, I know... I've been a little bit MIA recently. But for good reasons! I landed myself a new job, which started last Monday. So of course, I've been a bit of a busy bee. I'm feeling really good about this new chapter of my life and I am determined to stay positive throughout this whole experience! Since I have been on a bit of a short-term hiatus, I wanted to share a few #currentlyloving items - and tell ya about a few sales that are going on right now!

1. Nike Free TR 5 Flyknit Training Shoe - I have been dying to get my hands on these shoes! I love the simplicity of these sneaks, they would go great with any athleisure outfit. I could throw them on with a pair of leggings and a t-shirt and be good to go for the day. Too bad I can't wear tennis shoes to work!

2. Tory Burch Fitbit Metal Hinged Bracelet - Y'all... why didn't I think of this a year ago?! My boyfriend got me a Fitbit for Valentines day last year and it's hot pink. And rubber. So it really doesn't look fashionable with my every day work outfits. Tory Burch is a genius and these cuffs are absolutely adorable.

3. BB Dakota Duda Fur Vest - I purchased this vest right after Christmas (I know, I haven't posted any outfits lately - I'm sorry!) It is adorable and surprisingly warm! I throw it on my with black Piko top, jeans and booties and I'm good to go for the day. Hurry up and grab yours before they sell out - this lovely little vest is on sale right now!

4. L'ANZA Healing Smooth Balm - I've talked about L'ANZA products before in one of my very first posts, but the products are just out of this world! I've been using this smoothing balm for over 2  years now - it's an integral part of my morning routine. Just work it into your damp hair after a shower and blow dry and style as usual. It really helps keep those fly away pieces down and keeps your hair looking silky smooth!

5. Loren Hope Mishelle Reverse Cuff - I received this cuff in my Rocksbox and haven't really taken it off since. This bracelet goes with literally anything. I'm coining the term 'Statement Cuff' because it really does make a statement. I've had so many compliments on it, I may just have to purchase it! Sidenote: Rocksbox is great - I've been using it for 5 months now and have loved every single piece I've received. For your first month free, use my code: morganbff257

There are a few great sales currently going on - I thought that I would give you all the inside scoop so that you can score a few deals as well!
  • Bevello - Bevello is currently having a sale on sale. Check out their sale section and get an extra 20% off! The vest that I featured on my #currentlyloving is on sale right now for $39.20. What are you waiting for?!
  • LOFT - LOFT is doing a BOGO 50% off on all sweaters and tops. We didn't really get any of the Snowmaggedon here in Wilmington, but it's definitely still cold. LOFT never fails when it comes to comfortable clothes and of course they're very practical for work.
  • SHINYMIX - Shinymix is a great place to get fabulous jewelry pieces. Right now you can get 25% off of your order with the code VDAY25 -- but hurry up, this offer won't last long!

Happy shopping, friends!

Yes, I'm a Twin....

If you've been keeping up with my blog or know me personally, then you probably know that I have an identical twin sister. Her name is Maggie and she's pretty awesome. We've been inseparable since birth and although she recently moved 2 hours away from me (cue ugly crying face), we still call each other regularly. And by regularly, I mean basically every single day.

Twins have a bond unlike any other, and they're used to answering or brushing off those annoying twin questions. So I thought I'd go ahead and answer some of those wonderful questions for you all!

1. Are y'all twins?!

We hear this question literally anywhere that we go together. It never fails. Just recently we were walking in the mall and this guys starts yelling at us... "Are y'all twins?! OMG I thought I was seeing double!" Yes, sir, you were seeing double. There are two of us. We're different people though! He was still going on about it after we had been long gone. We could hear him. My question to those people are... are we really that interesting?

2. OMG! Did your parents dress you just alike when you were babies?

Well, technically they did. They just dressed us in different colors so they wouldn't get us mixed up. To this day, I wonder if I'm actually named Maggie and she's actually named Morgan. I guess we'll never know.

3. Can you guys, like, read each others minds?

No. That would be weird. We do have a lot of the same thoughts though! Sometimes when she's talking about something, I know what she's talking about before she really gets into it. But I don't think we've ever just outright read each others minds...

4. What's it like being a twin?

What's it like not being a twin? When you answer that, I'll answer your question. Seriously though, all we've ever known is being twins... so I can't really tell you how it's different from not being one because I've never experienced not being a twin. Did you get all of that?

5. Do you like being a twin?

Like I said before... I don't know any differently. But growing up, I always had a go-to friend. So that was definitely nice! And we shared our clothes with each other - and by sharing I mean that she wore my clothes a lot (;

6. Can you feel when the other one gets hurt?

My mom and grandma swear up and down that I once knew Maggie had gotten hurt and exactly what happened, but we were young, so I obviously don't remember it. It's a fun story to tell though!

7. Which one of you is older?

Me. I am older by 5 minutes. This means that for 5 WHOLE MINUTES, I was an only child. I've heard that my dad was so in awe of me after I was born, that he forgot my mom was having another baby. Oops! It's okay, Mags, I'm sure that only lasted for like... 5 minutes.

8. Do you have the same taste in guys?

No. We don't. I don't think we've ever liked the same guy. We've definitely never fought over boys. I actually see that as being totally weird.

9. Can your boyfriends tell you apart?

We're not the exact same person, y'all. We have different personalities and believe it or not, we do look a bit different. Yesssss, they can tell us apart!

Me & Turner

Maggie & Logan

10. I bet y'all do everything together, right?

I mean, duh. Kidding... but we do almost everything together. I mean, when you've got a best friend that's also family, it's kind of hard not to do a lot together.

There ya have it, folks! Some of your typical twin questions have been answered. If you have anymore, feel free to leave a comment!
