Pink + Navy Prep

Belk had a huge sale this past weekend (and a sale still going on) and I might have gone a little bit crazy. Three of the items I'm wearing were purchased from the sale. This coat is my absolute favorite item in my closet right now... Not a day has passed since I bought it that I haven't worn it! It's the perfect lightweight fall jacket, but let me tell you it definitely keeps you warm. And the pink design on the inside is absolutely adorable. The sweater I'm wearing is the same line as the jacket. And they were just too cute paired together! I'm loving this flamingo design too - it's the perfect hint of summer in this fall weather. Now... let's talk about these shoes. I had a pair of plain nude flats by Sam Edelman that I wore out these past 2 years. I wore them SO much they were getting holes in the toes. My beautiful grandmother was visiting this weekend and decided to buy me a new pair. She's the sweetest! I really like this new style with the bow. It adds a little pop to a neutral shoe. I've been wearing them every day this week! Now on to my accessories... I will let you know that the ring that I'm wearing was purchased from Bevello, but is no longer on their website. I'm sure you can still find them in stores! If not, I've linked a similar ring above! I'm also wearing the Kate Spade studs - they're the perfect go-to earring when you're running out the door and need a nice pair of earrings to throw on! And they're on sale right now at Nordstrom Rack. Happy shopping!

Poncho Days

Poncho (similar) | Sweater (similar) | Target Handbag (similar) | Frye Boots

The weather has started to cool down here in North Carolina! FINALLY. And I'm totally loving this poncho trend that's going on! I get cold so easily and ponchos are like walking around wearing a blanket - it's absolutely fantastic. I found this one at Marshall's and immediately knew that I had to have it. And of course, I got it at a great price! I'm also obsessed with the sweater I'm wearing underneath, it's so warm! In all honesty, I'm not a huge fan of cowl neck shirts, but this one is just perfect. I snagged this one from Marshall's as well. My bag is from Target - I carry it to work because it's big enough to carry my planner and notebook, as well as some other things. It's definitely bigger than my normal crossbody bags, but I really like it! It's a very nice bag and it was just under $50! I paired my outfit with my Frye boots. These boots are my absolute fav - if you're thinking about getting a pair, I highly recommend you act on it! They're well worth the price. This outfit is just so classy and low priced, which is great for someone like me just out of college! Of course, it's hard to find items from Marshall's online so I've added a few similar items above.

A Beautiful Engagement

If you follow my blog, you probably know that I have an identical twin sister. Maggie and I have been attached at the hip our entire lives. We shared a room up until our Sophomore year of college when we lived in our separate sorority suites. We also shared a car until Sophomore year. But this past Summer she moved away to work a job in another town. And to be honest, I was a little devastated. I felt like a piece of me had disappeared. I still call her just about every day...

Right before we graduated college, something crazy happened - Maggie got engaged! It was the cutest engagement. We both attended college at UNC-Wilmington and called the beach our home for four years, so it was only fitting that Logan, Maggie's fiance, proposed to her by taking her on a romantic walk down Wrightsville beach! She was totally not expecting it and it was the cutest thing ever. Turner and I hid in the dunes and captured the moment. I may or may not have fallen down the dunes... those things are so tall! The things you do for the ones you love... I tell ya.

Maggie and Logan's love story is cute. They met at a friend's party and Logan talked Maggie into going to the Zac Brown concert (by talked her into going I mean that he bought her a ticket so she felt like she had to go). Anyways... the rest is history! Maggie and Logan grew up in the same small town, and probably crossed paths a few times, but when they met and got to talking, there was a definite spark. Logan took Maggie fishing on their first date and then out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant, where Maggie claims that she ate way more than Logan did. Logan says it's true, but that's when he knew he was falling in love with her - when he saw how much food she could put down in one sitting ;)

These two lovebirds recently had their engagement photos taken and I just had to share. They are so beautiful! The photos were taken by V+T Photography, based out of Durham, NC. They were shot on the land where Maggie and Logan will be getting married next March.

Gosh, my twinnie is so beautiful! And her husband is a very tall, handsome fella too. A huge congratulations to Maggie and Logan on their engagement. I'm so excited for you both and can't wait to help you tie the knot in a few months!

Fall Fringe

1. Hinge Fringe Cardigan - Cardigans are a staple for the fall. And a definite must-have if your office or classroom is a bit on the chilly side, but you don't want to wear a coat all day! I love the length of this one - and the fringe detail is a plus.

2. 'Wanted' Ankle Fringe Pump - I. Am. Obsessed. with this shoe. The fringe tassels are a nice spin on a simple pump. If this shoe showed up in my closet, I'd be trying to find every possible way to wear it every single day.

3. Phase 3 Fringe Bucket Bag - Bucket bags are HUGE this fall. If I didn't have to pay bills, I'd totally go out and get one of these today! Unfortunately, the bills come first.... maybe I can sweet talk the boyfriend into getting me one for Christmas?

4. Grey Fringe Crossbody - I love a good crossbody. They're the perfect sized bag for a night out! I also love the idea of mixing lights and darks, so I would totally pair this with a black or maroon colored dress.

5. Context Fringe Poncho - I need this poncho right now! It's definitely a classic looking piece. I'm also loving the fact that it wraps around. It's like wearing a snuggie, but a classy snuggie. Worst analogy ever? Possibly. But get your hands on this baby before it's not on sale anymore!

6. Sole Society Tassel Bootie - This bootie is so fun and a such a great color. I love the stacked heel and the tassels are just the icing on the cake! I'm too much of a shoe fanatic... I need to stop.

7. Milly Fringe Leather Tote - Merlot is the color of the season. Seriously, if you don't own something in this color, you need to start searching! I'm also loving the size of this bag!

8. Sam Edelman 'Paige' Fringe Ankle Bootie - I recently bought a pair of Dolce Vita booties similar to this shoe, minus the fringe. I love them - and I love this Sam Edelman shoe just as much. A definite buy for this fall!

If you haven't already, it's time to hop on the fringe bandwagon! Stay classy, friends.

Wedding Wears

It has been an ugly, rainy few days here in Wilmington. I was so excited this morning when I looked at the forecast and it wasn't 100% rain! This past weekend, my sister and I attended a beautiful wedding for an old friend. Unfortunately, I was not able to get any photos at the wedding, but I was able to snap a few before to show you all what my sister and I wore (sorry for the poor quality - these were taken with an iPhone)! It's still warm here in North Carolina, so we both opted for short dresses.

My Outfit: I decided to borrow a dress from a friend and add a pop of color with my jewelry! This dress is a little bit on the shorter side, but it's very conservative at the top - and I loved it. I paired it with my favorite black wedges.

Maggie's Outfit: Maggie opted for a more colorful look. I'm slightly obsessed with her dress (on sale!) - and it's from my absolute favorite store, so of course I became even more obsessed with it. She paired her dress with a pair of patent nude pumps and my favorite necklace compliments of RocksBox (use my code 'morganbffbff257' to get your first month free)!
